An Introduction
The heart of this course is the endeavor to expose students to the task of considering real-world problems from a three-dimensional, interdisciplinary perspective. It is our firm belief that appreciation of the complexity of speech disputes is the first step toward fostering more productive societal dialogue and, ultimately, lasting and peaceful resolutions. The case studies on this site are all based on events that have happened in the real world, and are intended to reinforce and hone the skills targeted in the book.
